    Beautiful & Beloved {Empowering Women Rescued from Modern Day Slavery}

Posted: June 19, 2013 by Eva Taylor   -   No Comments

I’m super excited to announce a dear friend of mine and the ministry the Lord has called her to that helps empower women who have been rescued from modern day slavery. If you remember a few months back, I got a paired with another blogger for a Valentine gift exchange. This is when I met Amber, my twin from across the country. Seriously, we had so much in common that there was no denying that the Lord had paired us together to be swap partners! Since then we have become fast friends, and she is one of the first people I want to meet in person and run and give a huge hug to at Influence Conference!
You have to keep reading as she introduces herself, her blog and her boutique to you! And oh my word, there are some fabulous handmade items by these rescued women that she carries in her shop, and she’s even offering a discount code to all my awesome readers!

    Hello Snappee Turtle Friends!
So thankful that my friend, Eva, is giving me this incredible opportunity for me to tell you about something I am passionate about.
First just a little something about me: My name is Amber and I keep a little blog and a brand new online boutique where my heart and passion is for women. Women are one of God’s most amazing and lovely creations. We bring life and beauty into this world, but so often we forget that, and we feel the very opposite. My purpose, through my blog and my new online boutique, is to remind us all of what God calls us. He calls us His beautiful and He calls us His beloved, and we are who He says we are.
In the Beautiful and Beloved Boutique all the items sold are hand crafted by women who have been rescued from lives as modern day slaves.

Maxi Skirt:: Sleeveless Top:: Necklace:: all available at the B&B Boutique
Beautiful and Beloved Boutique partners with organizations around the world who pour into the people whom others have used as objects and, in most cases, discarded as trash. These organizations teach, love, counsel, and restore strong survivors so that they may once again have lives to be proud of. Making a purchase from the Beautiful & Beloved Boutique is a purchase that will empower another human being. It is a purchase that says to your sisters you see them and they are valuable.
I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is a ministry that God is calling me to, to remind His precious daughters that they are Beautiful and Beloved. Help me spread that Truth, remind those that have been violated and exploited, stripped of all the things that made them feel human, remind them that they are treasured. They are His.
I would love to have you follow along on twitter or instagram to find out about flash sales or on Facebook to get the latest coupon codes.
I truly appreciate you letting me write to you today,
hope to see you over at the boutique and the blog.

    Where Did My Fingernails Go?

Posted: June 18, 2013 by Eva Taylor   -   1 Comment

Thanks to the horrible habit I’ve had since 3rd grade (that Chris has been wishing for years I would break) my nails have officially been chewed off. Last night I joined in on the live simulcast for the Influence Conference and the #InfluenceConf twitter party. In all my anxiousness about wanting to go to the conference but not yet affording a ticket to go, there went my nails! (sorry babe!)
I am trying to be patient and trust that if it’s in God’s will for me to go this year, that I will get to go…even if that means not getting my ticket until the 11th hour. But I’ve also applied to be a vendor at the Sashes Market where I can sell some of my handmade items, and if I get approved I would have to pay the fee by July 1st. Even if I don’t get to be a vendor, I really just want to get to this conference.
It’s right here in Indy. If I don’t go, I might be the crazy lady hanging outside the Westin so I can meet some of the awesome Christian women in person that I have met through blogging! #justkidding #notreally
The theme for the weekend is how to have influence with our God given femininity. Living out of our roles as women to influence culture, rather than being influenced by the culture. This is such an important topic for me.
Most of you know that just a couple weeks ago I left my part-time job as an administrative assistant at our church, so that I could come stay home with Stella bear. It was a huge step of faith financially to make that decision, and we are trusting that the Lord will continue to provide. This is why I have not yet bought my ticket, because we also have bills to pay!
However, I did create 4 new prints specifically for raising money to buy an Influence Conference ticket. BUT, I am also going to offer all 8×10 and 5×7 prints in my shop for 25% off! This includes CUSTOM ORDERS, so book your custom order with me today! This offer will expire this Friday!
    That means:

    5×7 prints – $12  $9

    8×10 prints – $20  $15

    8×10 custom prints – $30  $24

Have you had your eye on a print for a while? I rarely put all the prints in my shop on sale, so if you’ve had your eye on something, just think of this as Christmas in June and stock up on some gifts! icon smile Where Did My Fingernails Go?
